In July we closed a partnership with Enablon, the world's leading provider of Sustainability and EHS Management Software Solutions.

This was picked up in the media:

6000 CDM projects now available in our DB

Information about CDM projects is typically closely monitored by issuers, traders, banks etc...

However, we believe these projects can yield a range of insights for Corporates and Carbon Consultants - for example:

New data: UN statistics

Our database was further complemented by country-level statistics published by the United Nations.

We computed the year-over-year % reduction (or increase) for the main sectors of activity. This top-down view meets our bottom-up sector averages based on emissions published by companies. Contact us to order a digest that summarizes the key insights by comparing the top-down to the bottom-up averages.

EU ETS: 2009 Verified Emissions now in our database

Last week the EU released the latest results for 2009 and we have promptly added the 2009 verified emissions to our database. This information can now be viewed along with all the allocations and verificications since 2005. With our business intelligence interface, users can slice and dice this information in any way they wish.

Details of 43,000 toxic emissions in the USA now available via CO2Benchmark

CO2Benchmark has integrated details of 43,000 the toxic emissions from 2008 into its database.

These emissions are from manufacturing plants in the USA and cover 600 chemicals.

A simple search by sector or company yields all the emissions details in a table format. Results can be ordered by toxin, plant and quantity.

CO2Benchmark also holds production capacity data of 550 manufacturing plants that publish their toxic emissions. This allows our team of analysts to perform detailed benchmarking studies comparing emissions on a per ton output basis.

CO2benchmark part of the BITC tools

Business In The Community (BITC) launched the Prince's May Day Network, which is the UK’s largest group of businesses committed to taking action on climate change.  By sharing best practice, these businesses promise to play a powerful role in reducing the UK's carbon emissions.
The BITC has put together a comprehensive website with information for businesses and has selected CO2benchmark's service as their benchmarking tool.
